The other day, I saw the cutest thing on the Facebook.

Our friend, Spencer the Golden Doodle had made a wreath out of dog bones!

How. Woofing. Cute. Get the tutorial at Spencer the Golden Doodle

Me and a few folks got to chatting on the Kol’s Notes Facebook page and it seemed like an awful lot of folks thought this would be SO CUTE made with Cloud Star’s Gingerbread Buddy Biscuits.
They were totally right. Even though there is only a few days left until the big day, I couldn’t help but give it a try. We’ll be saring our “Craftdown to Christmas” this week, sharing quick and easy ways you can get craft before the big day.

Our Buddy Biscuit wreath was so fast and so easy to put together, you can do it too.

Here’s what you need:

An 8 x 10 picture frame or a wreath form

Faux Green Garland (tinsel free)

Large Christmas Bow

12″ Ribbon

12 pipe cleaners

1 XXL Buddy Biscuit

1 box of Buddy Biscuits

Hot Glue

1 thin screw

Hot glue your garland to the frame or wreath form, taking care to ensure it’s fully covered. (I used a cheap dollar store frame. This doesn’t have to be pricey!)

Attach the oversize bow to the bottom using a pipe cleaner or hot glue.

Use the screw to very carefully open up the holes on 11 Buddy Biscuits.

Thread pipe cleaners through each hole. Wrap the pipe cleaner around the wreath, twisting it to fasten tightly in the back.

Repeat until all Biscuits are on your wreath, stopping to remove cookies from your dog’s mouth on a regular basis. (Seriously, Koly and Fe could not understand why we were decorating with these and not eating them.

Punch holes in your bow with scissors. Attach Buddy Biscuits using pipe cleaners.

Carefully use the small screw with create a hole in the top of the XXL Buddy Biscuit cookie. Thread Ribbon through this hole and tie to the top of your wreath.

That’s it.

Since the treats are held on with pipe cleaners, they’re super easy to pull off and treat your dog with. You could even count down the last days until Christmas and give your dog a treat every day.

Simple, easy and festive, plus totally tasty, our DIY Dog Treat wreath makes a great hostess gift for dog lovers, a quick and easy way to show dog friends you care and an adorable decoration to have around the house.
