This weekend, I made sweet potatoes.
And by “made sweet potatoes”, I mean all the sweet potatoes. I made approximately enough sweet potato to feed me and everyone I know and everyone they know…and all their dogs.
Luckily, sweet potato is one of my dog’s favourite things to snack on and there are a ton of great ways to turn sweet potatoes into sweet potato dog treats.
This weekend’s sweet potatoey goodness started as these:
Sweet Potato Fries for Dogs

Oh. My. Woof! you guys! Sweet potato fries you can share with your dog.
We didn’t use much oil on ours because someone forgot to pick up a new jar, so ours turned out more like baked sticks than fries, but we dusted them with just a tiny hint of garlic and fresh herbs and they were still really good… but not good enough to eat every day until I run out. LOL. These snacks are going to find their second life as dog treats. They were super easy to turn into mashed sweet potato. I just can’t decide which treats to turn them into.
